The Ecological Crisis is a Moral
Crisis: Pope John Paul II on Environmental
Responsibility, edited by Fred
Krueger, 2005, printed on a mix of kenaf
and 100% recycled, post-consumer waste
paper.
Over 140 different statements from
Pope John Paul II call for "ecological
conversion," on a spectrum of issues dealing
with ecology, lifestyle and the path
into a future of justice and environmental
balance. Permaculture: Finding Our Own Vines and Fig Trees, by Carol Coston, O.P. Sor Juana Press, San Antonio, Texas. In this little 104-page book, Sister Coston describes the process that led her to help found Sister Farm, a seven-acre ranch near San Antonio, Texas. Sister Farm is dedicated to advancing the ideals of permaculture, a concept of "permanent agriculture" first popularized in the 70's by Australian agriculturist Bill Mollison. Very interesting reading.
