CREDO

We are born human beings
In a vast, unfolding,
Omnicentric universe,
Members of Earth's community,
Kin to a myriad of beings
Diverse, unique,
Living and dying,
Evolving.
Trembling with consciousness
We explore
Realms of beauty,
Complexity, history,
Forgiven-ness,
And joy.
We acknowledge
That within our species
Evil is real
And violence rampant.
That, however, does not excuse us
From the effort to transform
Tribal viciousness and cruelty
To compassion.
Our task is to be aware,
Learn,
Seek justice and peace,
Work creatively,
Celebrate,
Wonder,
And love.
