Volume Twelve, Number Two Summer 2003 CALL TO ACTION:SAVE ENDANGERED HISTORIC NATIVE LANDSEarlier this year, the National Trust for Historic Preservation announced its new list of America's eleven Most Endangered Historic Places. Topping the list are two landscapes sacred to native peoples: Zuni Salt Lake in New Mexico, now threatened by the Salt River Project's proposed coal strip-mine, and Ocmulgee Old Fields, a national monument in Georgia, where ancestral mounds may soon be destroyed by highway construction. You can help save these endangered sites by taking action today. For more on these threatened places and what you can do, go to: www.earthisland.org/takeaction/new_action.cfm?aaID=164
