Ministering with the Earth, by Mary Elizabeth Moore ($20), 1998, Chalice Press, St. Louis MO. Stories and theological discussion view the Earth as a sacred creation of God in which we participate in a covenantal relationship. Using the metaphor of quilt making, the author challenges us to orient our spiritual life and ministry in partnership with (rather than caring for) the Earth. Appendix includes a retreat design "Quilting a life in Relation to God and to God's Creation."

The Hidden Heart of the Cosmos, an 80-minute video cassette with Brian Swimme, ($45), Center for the Story of the Universe, 134 Coleen St., Livermore CA 94550; 800/ 273-3720. Three visually enhanced lectures (The Generosity of the Sun, Birthplace of the Universe, and The All-Nourishing Abyss) explore the wisdom of science and its lessons integral to our well-being. For teachers, college classes, and the philosophically inclined.
