CLIMATE CHANGE CAMPAIGNS LAUNCHED IN 16 STATES

Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox and Jewish religious leaders are beginning to work together to educate faith communities on global warming and related issues. Conferences to train leaders for 2-year campaigns are being organized by the Eco-Justice Working Group of the National Council of Churches, through ecumenical councils in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
