EARTHKEEPING NEWS A NEWSLETTER OF THE NORTH AMERICAN COALITION FOR CHRISTIANITY AND ECOLOGY Volume Eight, Number Five July/August 1999 A CARING-FOR-CREATION SERMON CONTEST New Mexico Conference of Churches has invited all Conference pastors to participate in a year-long Caring for Creation sermon contest ending April 30, 2000. Typed copies of sermons on aspects of caring for creation, given in Conference churches between April 1, 1999, and April 30, 2000, must be submitted by May 5, 2000, to Marjorie Williams, Conference Advocate for Environmental Justice. No identification should appear on the sermon itself. However, the pastor's name, telephone number, and church where the sermon was preached should be on a separate piece of paper enclosed with each entry. Judging and presentation of awards will occur at the yr.2000 Annual Conference session.
