A PRAYER
Lord God of heaven and earth
of eagles and earthworms,
of saints and stragglers,
of all that was and is and
ever more shall be.
Open our eyes to the immensity
of thy creation,
to the wonders of the intricate dance of life,
to the miracles that turn
a half dozen patterns of energy
into mountains and butterfly wings,
into suns and fireflies.
Open our hearts that
we may feel thy love
flowing in us and in all things,
the pulse and heartbeat
of all creation.
