The theme promotes wildlife habitat conservation on farms, ranches and in urban back yards. For 44 years, thousands of local congregations have joined with local soil and water conservation districts to celebrate Soil and Water Stewardship Week. The national observance is supported and directed by the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) which publishes materials for religious organizations, educators and for general use. The 24 page Church Leader Guide includes sermon starters and resources for youth and adult groups. The Educational Component includes an Educator's Guide and children's activity booklets. Clip art, posters, video and place mats are also available. A Sample Kit with one of each printed item costs $5.50 and includes an order blank for all items.
