YEAR OLD ECUMENICAL ECOLOGY GROUP REFLECTS HOPE IN ITS NAME

A group of environmentally concerned members of five churches (Methodist, Catholic, Presbyterian and Congregational) in the Towns of Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles, Illinois, which has been active for a year, decided their formal name will be HOPE (Healing Our Planet Earth): Interfaith Ecology Network. Their current projects include teaching in Sunday schools, preparing Earth Day Reflections and having speakers in their congregations. NACCE was instrumental in beginning the group in November 1992. (see Earthkeeping News, May/June 1992.)
