RESOURCE PACKETS FOR GREENING CHURCHES

Catholic Churches Receive Environmental Justice Manual

The national office of the U.S. Catholic Conference has distributed a Resource Guide, Renewing the Face of the Earth, to all Catholic priests in the nation for use by parish justice committees interested in the environment. The manual provides further reading ideas and practical suggestions to make environmental advocacy a bigger part of every parish's justice effort. Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN) Distributes Resource Kits to 20,00 Churches
Congregational resource kits, Let the Earth Be Glad: Starter Kit for Evangelical Christians to Care for Creation, written and designed by World Vision, contain four booklets outlining the biblical and theological roots of environmental stewardship, providing suggestions for worship and liturgy, and examining the Evangelical Declaration on the Care of Creation.

National Council of Churches Offers Training in the Use of its Eco-Justice Resource Packet
Environmental Ministries of Southern California will hold a day-long workshop on October 1, 1994 to help congregations incorporate eco-justice activities in their churches. Participants will study the National Council of Churches' environmental and economic justice packet, God's Earth Our Home, consider ways of becoming "whole earth congregations", and prepare for Earth Day 1995.
