Volume One, Number Three January/February 1992 WORLD WOMEN'S CONGRESS CREATES ACTION AGENDA FOR EARTH SUMMITIn November 1991, 1500 women from around the world met for four days of plenaries, workshops, caucuses and celebration in Miami, FL. Margarita Arias of Costa Rica gave the keynote address, "It's Time For Women To Mother Earth." The program was organized into "Tribunals" on: Developing a Code of Ethics with a Women's Dimension; Saving Natural Systems; and Science, Technology and Population. At the final plenary Summit Meeting, the conference document, Women's Action Agenda 21, was presented to women heads of government and UN dignitaries, including Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland of Norway and Maurice Strong, Secretary General of UNCED.
